The MedBIC are hosting a free workshop to help businesses find the right culture for their business scale-up and ensure they can successfully take the business to the next level. Finding the right culture is not only about hiring people with the right technical skills, but with the right mix of soft skills.

Cambridge Angels list ‘Hiring poorly’ as the number two mistake made by start-ups. This workshop will allow businesses to avoid the common mistakes and understand the change in culture dynamics as the business grows. The workshop will be held on Wednesday 5th June from 9:30am to 11:30am at The MedBIC in Chelmsford.

To book your space please email info@medbic.com with your contact details, position and why you would like to attend. Refreshments will be provided.

What the workshop will cover

The session will explore the employee behaviours and leadership types which will help business scale, common people-related pitfalls experienced by scale-ups and how workplace culture can make or break a business.

The session will also help understand the change in cultural dynamics which occur as businesses grow beyond a certain size and will help businesses look ahead to developing their first manager cohort.

Who can attend the workshop

This session is open to all. However, managers, senior managers, owners and directors of SMEs who are looking to scale up and grow their company will find this of particular use.

Who will be speaking

Claire Hartnell from PeopleDiligence will be leading the workshop. Claire has more than 20 years’ experience consulting up to C-suite level in companies including Diageo, Ebay, Carphone Warehouse and Coca Cola.

In 2018, Claire set up PeopleDiligence, a consultancy specialising in people, performance and culture to help growing companies develop fast pace, healthy performance cultures.
