The MedBIC, Anglia Ruskin University’s Business Innovation Centre for Medical and Advanced Engineering, are hosting a free Intellectual Property (IP) workshop with IP21 and the commercialisation team at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU). The workshop will dispel some of the assumptions and myths about Intellectual Property and the key role it plays in creating a competitive edge for innovating firms.
This workshop will be held on Thursday 10th October 2019 from 10am – 12pm at The MedBIC in Chelmsford. Refreshments will be provided.
What the session will cover
As well as dispelling some of the assumptions and myths about Intellectual Property, Anglia Ruskin University’s commercialisation officer, Dr Roger Chittock, will also provide an insight into how Anglia Ruskin University operates its own IP policy, details on licences and royalties.
About the speaker
From IP21, Ed Clarke is a UK and European patent attorney. Ed has represented clients in relation to a wide range of technologies from mechanical to electronic to medical equipment. His clients have ranged from start-ups and individual inventors to quoted companies. Ed undertook the bulk of his training at a London firm before working at a boutique practice in the Home Counties.
