The MedBIC, Anglia Ruskin University’s Business Innovation Centre for Medical and Advanced Engineering, will be hosting a free introduction to funding and investment workshop with accountancy firm Price Bailey for business owners and senior management.
The workshop will be held on Wednesday 4th September 2019 from 9:30am – 12pm at The MedBIC in Chelmsford. Refreshments will be provided.
What the workshop will cover
This workshop will be an introduction to crowdfunding, business angels, venture capital and private equity funding. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak to experts about different funding avenues and the processes involved.
The workshop will cover:
- An overview of the types of funding
- Key differences between funding types
- Access to funding
- What the common investment conditions/clauses and equity instruments are
- The funding process
- Why some people succeed and others fail to raise funds
- What can go wrong
- Examples of successes and failures
Who can attend the workshop
Business owners, senior management team and finance directors.
Following this workshop if there is the demand, there will be a second session to follow up with investment readiness and practical guides to raising funds and securing investment.
