Last year’s finals

The entrants for Young Enterprise county finals in 2018 were aged between 15 and 17 who had to create a company, logo and market their products. They were supported by a mentor from the business world to advise them. Each finalist produced a company report and set up a trade stand at Anglia Ruskin University for guests to view. Judges interviewed each team and listened to presentations before deciding on winners in various categories.

Last year, the ‘Best Website Award’ was awarded to Outside The Box from Appleton School, who created memory boxes and photo holding easels. The award was judged by 07 Heaven, with a list of criteria each team had to meet. This year digital marketing agency, Better Agency, will be sponsoring the Best Website Award.

This year's finalists

The North Area Finals, held on 2nd April, resulted in four finalists advancing to the Essex County Finals. These finalists are:

The Essex County Finals will decide one winner from each of the Area Finals. The two winners will then go through to represent Essex at the Regional Finals on Wednesday 5th June in Norwich. Judges may also chose a ‘Wildcard’ winner from either the North or South Area Finals.
